During my third year at Cardiff Met, I was commissioned by the university to create an instructional video that clearly communicated what students could expect at graduation, and instructed them on what they would have to do. The aim for this video was to offer students clarity about the day, and therefore help to comfort any prior anxieties and stress.
This commission gave me experience in scripting, directing and project management; as I worked with animation student Lily Cotton to bring the characters to life. This was an ambitious project to head on primarily by myself alongside my studies, but it was in this space outside my comfort zone where I grew my animation and project management skills, and further learnt how to quickly absorb and adapt to new brand guidelines.
